I would like to say a great big thank you to Doug VE6CID, Alan VE6DE, and Dave for all of their work and time spent on the event. 
It was beautiful weather and we had a chance to educate LOTS of tourists about what the heck we were up to.  That is a busy park.

I read somewhere that there were 24 participants.  

It was sure an eye opener to see how difficult it is to locate a signal in less than optimum conditions. 
It was also obvious to me that it is important to know your equipment. I think that I need to spend more time just using my handhelds so that I can program them and use them without a lot of researching the manual. 
There were a number of us that were first timers and were sure learning about listening for the beeps and what happens when 2 beacons overlap their transmissions.  
It is all good learning and experience. 

FOX HUNT or Radio direction finding event this weekend. Well some extra equipment became available because of Scout's VE6JAM, Al wanted the internal batteries changed in 8 of his radios. Tonight I did that. These radios matched with Tape measure Yagi's Al has , Well we can now have some spare equipment for the Fox hunt. LOANERS. Just a FYI. All work, one has a weak front end but is perfect for this fox hunt.  first come first to use.
