Summits On The Air 'SOTA' is a growing pursuit for the mountain adventurer who is into DX amateur radio.  And why not?  Calgary is on the doorstep of the world's finest mountain ranges, collectively known as the Rocky Mountains.  Many of these peaks are climbable, and many have yet to be "bagged" by an amateur radio DX'r intent on a SOTA "first climb".  SOTA DX'ing is a pastime all around the world.
