I thought I would post pictures of a Tape Measure J-Pole that I threw together.  Basically it is a Dollar store Tape Measure for $3, and a short length of PVC pipe left over from a project.  I also stuck a 1/2 inch dowel into it as a handle that fits into the tripod.  

It gives me an SWR of 1.18 at 145Mhz.
