Geoff Smith, VA3GS 18 February, 1942 - 4 December, 2019

Geoff Smith, the secretary of Coax Publications Inc and one of the company founders died suddenly on the morning of 4 December, 2019.

Geoff was the co-author of Coax Publication's Study Guide for the Basic Qualification and Study Guide for the Advanced Qualification and it is safe to say that without his guidance these books would not be the success that they have been. He also edited the material in the Instructors' guide. Geoff had remarkable patience rewriting each chapter and paragraph to provide accurate and succinct discussion of the topic at hand.

Geoff was a gregarious person and he telephoned each of our new customers to offer assistance if they encountered problems understanding the content or context of the study material and sending volumes of additional support documents. He also had considerable input into the style of our books.

As a professional teacher Geoff understood how students learn and worked tirelessly to ensure that both our books and the supporting materials on our Student Success Pages focused on these objectives.

We at Coax Publications Inc are devastated by Geoff's sudden passing. While the web site will continue to manage and ship orders automatically, we expect that until the new year response to customer correspondence may be sporadic.
