I know this rally is far away and not one CARA supports ie it's not a sanctioned event but they are in need of radio operators.  Even if you can not help directly perhaps you can reach out to someone you know who can and thus I share this with the club.

This is a short update email to confirm that yes, the Rally is still happening! And still in need of additional volunteers, particularly more licensed radio operators.

The current draft of the volunteer plan is not yet ready for public consumption, but on sheer numbers alone there is already a clear need for more volunteers.

• -           PFR 2017 had 81 volunteers, of which 17 were radio blockers (practically skeleton crew).
• -           Currently PFR 2018 sits at only 65 volunteers, of which only 12 are licensed to be radio blockers.
• -           We absolutely need more volunteers to run a safe and successful event.
• -           If you have friends or colleagues who are on the fence, encourage them to give rally volunteering a try!
• -           If you are a member of your local amateur radio club, remind other members of the opportunity to use your Ham radio skills and equipment!
