We received this recently from Martin Alcock, VE6VH. A group of hams is forming a new special interest group, not club affiliated.
From Martin:
We are in the process of forming a special interest group for those amateurs who like to build radios, toys, gadgets, bots, or whatever you like to do. The objective of the group is to share ideas and information, manage a central repository for shared project files, pass on expertise and give training in upcoming areas such as networking, FPGA’s, linux, software defined radios, and just about anything you can think of. Membership is open to any radio amateur, if you are interested in hearing more, please come and join us.
Our inaugural meeting will be on Saturday, January 20th at Bowmont Masonic Hall (downstairs), 7704 39 Ave NW, Calgary, AB T3B 1X3 at 2:00pm in the afternoon. Coffee will be provided free of charge. For further information, please contact Martin VE6VH at (403) 670-9100, or ve6vh@ve6vh.org.
