2022 May Day sees fox hunters from Calgary and Edmonton rendezvous at the Tim's in Red Deer, AB.  This will be an event where the Edmonton Area Fox Hunting League www.radiofoxhunt.ca meets with fox hunters from the Calgary Amateur Radio Association for a joint sharing of experience and equipment knowledge.  Real fox hunting practice will be a big part of the day, both on foot and in vehicles.  * Please review the EAFHL web site for great information on getting ready for the day. 

The Edmonton Area Fox Hunting League, quite an advanced group in RDF, will be there, and we will be able to learn a lot from them.  They regularly participate in Search and Rescue (SAR) and Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) finding with the Canadian Military.

What we will learn here will be good experience for the RDF activities planned for the CAARC Hamfest http://www.caarc.ca/ near Red Deer on June 17 - 19.

Kindly register for the May 1 event so we know how many will be coming from Calgary.  There is no cost to participate other than your own incidental costs for transportation, growlies, etc..

8:00 AM Calgary people meet at Denny's 5015 - 4 St NE, Calgary for car pooling.  And maybe even breakfast at 7 AM!

10:00 AM Meet and Greet at Tim Horton's, 4217 - 50 Avenue, Red Deer.  Review of equipment for both foot and vehicle searches.  Then head across the street for on-foot practice in Rotary Park.

1:00 PM Lunch at Tim's (your own treat) or bring your own.

2:00 PM  Organize and head out for vehicle based fox hunting.

5:00 PM Regather at Tim's, or other place, for dinner before the journey home.
