    Hi Jim

Wondering what the status is re a 160 meter band antenna for North or South Station.

The West station vertical loads well but TS2000 seems a bit deaf and is limited to 100 watts
I have had some CW QSO's using it on 160 but can not work all that we hear

East station antenna does have a sweet spot on 160 cw around 1840 but lower in band SWR spikes

    Just wondering

There was a contest coming up

VE6JF VE6CCM VE6IKR AND VE6IXD all jumped into action and helped me at the club station Friday to see what could be done to enhance our 160 capability.   Jack suggested we look at the 43' vertical and see if we can add more radials and put the external tuner outside to allow tuning it more effectively on the low bands. Ian VE6IKR and I looked at the North Tower and determined that more work was needed to get it functioning but we now have a plan to help Jim VE6JF complete the shut feed of the North and South towers for 80 and 160.   By Sundown Saturday we had the tuner ready to go outside and set up the EAST Station for 160   providing a choice of inverted VEE on the AMP of the vertical with 100 watts.

Operated remotely Friday and Saturday night
