The ham from Fort Mac who wants to try this is going to send us plans for an inverted vee type antenna. In the mean time we may modify the 40 meter SLOPPER currently connected to TS2000.
Yes, your dial frequency should be 1.5kHz lower than the centre frequency (assuming USB operation; which is the mode according to regulation in Canada). Therefore dial 5403.5 in order to be on the channelized frequency of 5405. The maximum bandwidth is 2.8khz, and maximum "effective radiated power" ERP is 100watts. Therefore if you are intending to use a beam with gain, you will need to turn down the radio's TX output power to stay legal on this one.
