Direction finding and FOX hunting

  • learn about direction finding and its operation. 
  • learn about the basic operation of Direction finding Antennas,   and how simple it is.
  • we will demo all the antennas listed below as well as a borrowed Doppler system for direction finding using a  portable.

NOW LETS BUILD A Yagi.AT NEXT CARA General Meeting

Quad antenna.
 Tinfoil shield .
  • If any amateurs have their own direction finding equipment they could bring it and test it out.
  • We also have one fox for sure, to demonstrate how they work as well.
  • In the end will pick out one of the antennas and at the next meeting we will all build.

  4215 80th Ave, at the corner of 44 St NE.


This will be the first of a three part program. The 1st meeting will be about direction finding.  The 2nd meeting will be about assembly of the antenna decided at the 1st meeting. Than one weekend  we  will actually do a fox hunt using what we have learned.  The main object of how to find the Fox.
