Registration is closed
Primary Purpose: to have fun operating in the country.
Secondary Purpose:  To gain experience setting up the Comms Unit so that members can use it with confidence and have fun.
Tertiary Purpose:  To build capacity and expertise in order to deploy the Comms Unit in times of Emergency and to have fun.

Date:  Saturday, August 17, 2013
Time:  VE6TI will be onsite @ 8:00 AM. Monitoring VE6RYC .
Set up will begin with the arrival of the Comms Unit.
Duration: to the last person standing.

Bring your own gear (AC or DC) if you want try it out in the Comms Unit or use the antennas.
Bring your own antennas or some wire to make some and experiment with cutting to resonance, solder coax connectors etc. Antenna analyzers will be on site.
Learn to use Anderson Power poles.  These connectors are the standard method to connect to the Comms Unit's DC power system.  Connectors on site at cost, ($5) per cable prepared.  
Bring your own food, beverages and a lawn chair and some mosquito repellent and sunscreen.

Directions From Calgary
South on Highway # 2 towards Okotoks but do not take the turn off-to Okotoks,  stay left and note odometer reading just as you go under the Hwy 552 underpass add 3.3 Kms and this takes you to the next turn which is left onto 306 th Avenue SW.  This is an uncontrolled access. Be in the left lane as you approach and cross when safe to so.  Stay to the right, road goes East.  Proceed on this road until it dead ends in about 3 Kms.
