This year the window of time for the contesting has been extended. The 30-hour operational period starts at 1600 UTC on Saturday (9 AM MST), the 25th, and ends at 21:59 UTC on Sunday, the 26th (2:59 pm MST).
The CARA comm trailer will arrive on site at 7 AM this year to allow for the longer contesting period. All setup volunteers are requested to be there by that time.
The location in Calgary is Edgemont Boulevard and Shaganappi Trail NW. We are in the big parking lot on the north side of Shaganappi Trail NW on the west edge of Nose Hill Park.

This is a contesting event where contacts are made all around the globe.
Hope to see you there, either as a contesting radio operator or just to see how it all works. We will try to have a campfire in a barrel.
The trailer is insulated and fully heated with a diesel heater.
VA6RPL Peter LaGrandeur will tow the trailer to and from the field operating location.
Everybody is welcome to come out and see the comm trailer and help set it up at 7 AM on Saturday, January 25. Likewise, we need people to help pack up the trailer so it can be returned to storage the next day, Sunday, at noon. The more the merrier. Many hands make light work. Contact VA6RPL Peter LaGrandeur at VA6RPL@techworld.ca to let him know you are coming to see / help. Or, just arrive and jump in on the fun.
A schedule of thirty one-hour time slots will be set up for radio operators to do contesting in the trailer. Please contact VE6NRO Neeroo Sharma-Hall VE6NRO@gmail.com to get your name on the list.
