On Air Contest Training Feb 24

The South Carolina QSO Party contest will be used as a training contest for phone operators to get familiar with contesting at the CARA club station VE6AO, in preparation for the CQ WPX SSB Phone Contest March 29-31.

SC QSO Party runs on Saturday 8 am to 7 pm.

No experience necessary - New operators welcome! 

Station orientation, live on air contest practice and coaching: 

  - Logging with N1MM+

  - Running Stations - Calling CQ Contest and responding to calls

  - Search and Pounce - Replying to stations calling CQ Contest 

Get familiar with club station operation and contesting before the WPX contest.

The station is open most weekends for orientation and casual operating.
