CARA DX Group members are interested in a wide range of ham radio pursuits. Everything from HF SSB, CW, and digital modes to simplex communication using VHF / UHF frequencies including satellites. We also manage the club station and our remotes.

General RF impedance Measurement using the Return Loss Method  - In amateur radio, there is often a requirement to perform impedance matching. The most common case would be matching a transmitter to an antenna. But there is sometimes a need to match other things as well, such as filters. This short discussion will present a method to perform impedance matching using return loss.
