The CARA Executive is well aware of the 'unfriendly' look of our Website. It is currently under review, but it will take some time to make it more user friendly. Our guru is Pat Spencer, VE6PDS, who offered as a volunteer, to try to make our Website better to nagivate.

Anyone taken the time to rattle around in our website?  There are number of various issues with how and where things are in the website.  Go on a hunt and you will find things like Gord's attempt to make a help forum or Rob's work at cataloguing the equipment.  The website really is a scattered as people had mentioned at several meetings.  Did we strike a committee for the website?

I figured out where the calendar lives and in fact you can see it logged in or not.  The three bars up there on the far right second blue bar is where get involved is and that leads to event calendar.  Maybe I'm not that computer savy as I thought but does this seem user friendly to everyone else?

I tried the suggestion and from all the drop down menus nothing leads you when logged in to a calendar.  I did eventually find the calendar buried under home -get involved.  Once I had the location from doing a search I tried the path it shows but it leads nowhere.  Might be an idea to make the web site a little less complex for simple things like a club event calendar.  Maybe I'm just missing something but the process to search for basic club info is not basic at all.  For those who are like me here is the link.  http://cara.memberlodge.com/events

    Hi Harry,

The Casino is March 8th and 9th.  It is in the members event calendar (the event can only be seen by members if you are logged in to the site).

I believe Dave needs to submit the volunteer names to the AGLC very soon.  If anyone is considering volunteering, I would urge you to confirm with Dave as soon as possible.

Thank you all and I look forward to providing an update regarding our previous casino funds at the next general meeting.

    Thank you,

    Stephane

I searched our website but can't locate a calendar of activities.  Do we have a date for the Casino?

Wait a minute you said the W word and it wasn't Warden.  Your slipping buddy.

We only lose our operating budget funds which is about 7K divided over two years so $3500 per.  The rest goes into a wish list fund for things like a 125ft manlift truck that no one can drive or operate which would cost $125K.

I'm sure the club will fill the roles it's just a little early yet.  Maybe this is what happens when the club has significant amounts of money and it's allocated to projects then they can't figure out more projects for the next pot of money.

    Hi Gang,

Well we're still not completely booked up for casino positions and we only have about 6 days left before we have to have the application in.

Here are the positions still open so if you have a spare evening or day - please try to help out.  As you can see we need about 20 people or less if you do more than one shift.

    Cheers’

    Dave Cason
